Attending Court will be the final step of the bankruptcy process. Before calling the Court and arranging a time and date to apply for a Bankruptcy Order you first need to think about your options.
Bankruptcy will clear all of your unsecured debts, but in doing so it will remain on your Credit Report for six years, which can hinder your future borrowing during that timeframe. Another form of insolvency is an IVA, which may be best suited if you have equity to protect, or a job that is excluded from personal bankruptcy.
If personal bankruptcy certainly is the solution you're looking for, then the appropriate paperwork will eventually be filed at your local County Court.
