Attending Court is the final step of the bankruptcy process. Prior to phoning the Court and arranging a time and date to apply for a Bankruptcy Order you first need to think about your options.
Personal bankruptcy will clear all your unsecured debts, but in doing so it will stay on your Credit History for six years, which will hinder your future borrowing during that timeframe. An alternative method of insolvency is an IVA, which could be ideal for those who have equity to protect, or a job which is excluded from bankruptcy.
If personal bankruptcy certainly is the answer you're looking for, then the appropriate documentation will eventually be submitted to your local County Court.
